Our Story

Levi and I met in August of 2024 in Borgen, Norway, north of the Arctic Circle. Through our shared interest in God's creation, caring for His people, and music, we discovered a love for one other. Through much prayer and insight from trusted mentors we have decided to walk out in faith to further our Biblical education in this season to the minister to the people God places in out path. Levi feels called to pursue a Pastoral role with a focus on equipping and mentoring men. I am not fully sure what the steps after SBS look like however, I am leaning in and trusting that God will show me when the times comes or that my next leap of faith will be supported by Him.

John 15:12-13 And my command is this: love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

A 7 month program that included a 4 month lecture phase at the Base, located around 220 miles North of the arctic circle. This was followed by an international outreach where we brought the Gospel to the places that desperately need to experience God’s love, and to know the truth about Jesus using the skills and knowledge gained over our lecture phase. YWAM Norway is passionate about awakening a new generation of Ministry leaders and missionaries through community, evangelism, worship, and adventure in truly one of the most stunning settings on earth.

Ali here ~ The Northern lights DTS was not simply about training. It was about growing more firm in my faith and my relationship with God. In a world full of excessive standards for productivity and haste to accomplish the “American Dream” this was a chance for me to get away and take a thorough soul search, and explore getting to know my Heavenly Father. Surrounded by fjords, forests, and the aurora borealis, this program is designed to strip away distractions and go deep with God. It was exactly what I needed to be able to hear His voice clearly for the first time. I was able to build friendships with people across the world, receive practical tools for a life in ministry, and find my true identity in God. Over this time I have also been able to rekindle my love for music and art.

As for me, Levi, I hopped on the plane to Norway in order to grow closer to God and discover His will for my life. In both areas, I was happily blessed. In September, through hearing God’s voice, receiving a vision, and being prayed and prophesied over, I was called to be a pastor. While I don’t have all the details of what Pastorship will look like, I do know that the next years will be years of preparation and training. During DTS, I was also introduced to lots of wonderful habits that I have begun to incorporate into my daily life. Habits that have not only increased my productivity, self-discipline, and overall joy, but have also helped me grow closer to the Lord, hear his voice, and have a deeper, personal relationship with Him.

Matthew 6:19-21 19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Where did we come from?

When we kicked off DTS in Norway, neither of us had “start a romantic relationship” on our to-do list. (Especially because DTS has a strict no dating rule) Either way we were both laser-focused on growing closer to God and figuring out what He was calling us into. Romance? Not even on the radar.

But somewhere along the way, things started to shift. After we graduated what began as an easy, fun, God-centered friendship started to feel… different. Not in a big dramatic way, but in a slow, steady, kinda sneaky God way.

It felt like He was gently nudging us—saying, “Hey, I might be doing something here.” And honestly? It felt peaceful. His timing is always spot on!

Where did we go?

Then came the fun part: we got home from Norway... One of us in Florida and the other in Minnesota.

Our friendship continued to grow despite the distance and about a month later, after a lot of prayer and consideration... and I mean A LOT! We started a long-distance relationship. Yep. Nothing like diving into a brand-new relationship and learning how to love well from different time zones!

There were FaceTimes in sweatpants, lots of laughing at awkward Wi-Fi lags, long messages full of encouragement (the occasional cheesy meme), and a lot of prayer. It definitely wasn’t always easy, but even from afar, we kept feeling that same steady peace. We feel God is in this, holding us together with a strength that is unmatched, shaping something truly beautiful.

Where are we now?

Now as newly weds we are working diligently in our studies and to fundraise and accomplish our goal of graduating a secondary Bible school in beautiful Lakeside, Montana. This opportunity means so much to us, as it allows us to continue our pursuit of the Lord and grow deeper in our relationship with Him. We are eager to be further equipped for ministry, to study His Word more intensely, and to be surrounded by a community of believers who are passionate about serving God. This next step is and continues to be significant part of our spiritual journey, and we are trusting that God will provide as we walk in obedience to His calling on our lives.

If you feel led to support us—whether through prayer, encouragement, or financial giving—we would be incredibly grateful. Every bit of help brings us closer to where we believe God is calling us to be.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for standing with us as we take this leap of faith. Your support means more than words can express.

Luke 12:29-31 And do not set your heart on what you will eat or drink; do not worry about it.  For the pagan world runs after all such things, and your Father knows that you need them. But seek his kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.

Micah 6:8 He has shown you, O Man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.
